Pastor Clifton E. Freeman Jr. was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. He is the proud son of Pastor and Elect Lady, Dr. Clifton & Janet Freeman, Sr. He is the youngest of four children. At the age of 5 he made Jesus Christ his personal savior and was baptized at Providence Inspirational Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD. He has earned degrees from various institutions. These include a Diploma in Church Leadership from Carolina College of Biblical Studies, Fayetteville, NC, a Bachelor’s in Religious Education from Heritage Bible College, Dunn, NC. He received his Master of Divinity & Doctorate of Ministry Degree’s from North Carolina Theological Seminary (NCTS), where he has also served as an undergrad professor.
On May 1, 1999 he married Deanna Howard of Pine Hill, NJ, who is also an ordained minister of the Gospel. They are the proud parents of three fantastic kids, two boys and a girl, Joshua, Jonathan and Aubry. He has over 17 years of federal service of which, 7 of were in the U.S. Army.
He was licensed to preach the gospel in December 1999 and ordained by the Union Missionary Baptist Association in January 2001. He has served as Youth Minister for 7 years and has over 10 years of pastoral experience. He has served as the Vice Moderator of the Hammond Creek Missionary Baptist Association in Bladen County, NC, as well as the President of its Pastor’s and Minister’s conference.
He is humbled & honored to serve as the Pastor of the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in the blessed city of Camden, NJ.
His favorite scripture is 1 John 5:4 (NASV) which says, “Whatever is born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcomes the world—even our faith.”
Most of all he is a child of the ONE & ONLY LIVING GOD.
